The New York State Police report the following DWI and drug arrests:
Todd Crowl DWI arrest
On December 5th, 2020, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Todd Crowl, 55, of Lakewood, for Driving While Intoxicated. Crowl was pulled over on Route 430 in Bemus Point for a traffic violation and after failing several SFSTs, Crowl was placed under arrest. Crowl was transported to State Police Barrack in Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of .12. Crowl was then processed, issued tickets, and released. Crowl is scheduled to appear in the town of Ellery Court on a later date.
Kealohapauo Mendez DWI arrest
On December 3rd, 2020, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Kealohapauo Mendez, 43, of Randolph, for Driving While Intoxicated. The Troopers stopped Mendez for speeding on Main Street in Randolph and after failing several SFSTs, Mendez was placed under arrest. Mendez was transported to the State Police barrack in Jamestown, N.Y., where he provided a breath sample of .11. Mendez was then processed, issued tickets, and released. Mendez is scheduled to appear in the town of Randolph Court on a later date.
Paul J. Wojtaszcyk, old enough to know better than to risk the lives of others, charged with DWI
On November 30, 2020, troopers out of SP Boston arrested Paul J. Wojtaszcyk, 71, of the town of Concord, for Driving While Intoxicated. Wojtaszcyk was stopped on SR-391 in the town of Boston after troopers observed his vehicle was unregistered. Troopers initiated a traffic stop and while interviewing Wojtaszcyk detected the odor of alcohol. Wojtaszcyk was given standard field sobriety tests which he failed. Wojtaszcyk was subsequently arrested for DWI. He was transported to SP Boston where he refused to provide a breath sample. Wojtaszcyk was printed, photographed, and processed. He was released with appearance tickets returnable to the town of Boston Court on 12/14/20 at 6:30 P.M.
Jason F. Good, more than twice the legal limit for DWI – good enough for an arrest
On November 27, 2020, Troopers out of SP Warsaw arrested Jason F. Good, 49 of Wyoming, NY, for Aggravated DWI.
During a traffic stop on State Route 19, town of Wyoming, Good was exhibiting signs of intoxication. Troopers determined he had been operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. Good failed standardized field sobriety tests. Good was arrested and transported to SP Warsaw, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.19% BAC.
Good was released with appearance tickets for Wyoming town court on a later date.
James Allenson, DWI and suspended FIVE times, still out on the road – jail is the only place for this bozo!
On November 27th, 2020, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested James Allenson, 48, of Kennedy, for Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd Degree.
Allenson was pulled over on I-86 in Randolph for a traffic violation and after failing several SFSTs, Allenson was placed under arrest. Allenson was transported to SP Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of .10. A check of Allenson’s driving record revealed five suspensions. Allenson was then processed, issued tickets and released. Allenson is scheduled to appear in the town of Randolph Court on a later date.

Anthony R. Vasquez arrested for Leandra’s Law felony aggravated DWI in Olean when driving two kids in booze cruise
On November 22, 2020, New York State Police Olean Troopers arrested Anthony R. Vasquez, 34, of Great Valley, NY for two counts of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (With a Child Passenger Less Than 16), Driving While Intoxicated: Previous Conviction Within Past 10 Years, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree, and Use of a Vehicle Without an Interlock Device.
During a traffic stop on Buffalo Street in the city of Olean, Vasquez was exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication. Troopers determined he had been operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition with two children present in the vehicle. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Vasquez was then arrested and transported to SP Olean, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.14% BAC.
Vasquez was released with appearance tickets for Olean City Court, where he is due to appear in December.
Khristina A. Tolerson, arrested for DWI in Genesee
On November 21, 2020, SP Amity Troopers arrested Khristina A. Tolerson, 39, of Portville, NY for Driving While Intoxicated.
Troopers investigating an unrelated incident on Deer Creek Road in the town of Genesee observed Tolerson operating a vehicle while exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication. Troopers determined she had been operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. She failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Tolerson was then arrested and transported to the State Police Barracks in Amity, where a chemical breath test revealed her to have a 0.12% BAC.
Tolerson was released with appearance tickets for Genesee Town Court, where she is due to appear in December.
Repeat Offender DWI driver Christopher E. Pujols, of Lackawanna going over 100 MPH arrested for Felony DWI
On November 21, 2020, troopers out of SP Boston arrested Christopher E. Pujols, age 31, of the City of Lackawanna, for Felony Driving While Intoxicated and Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st . Pujols was stopped on SR-219 in the town of Boston after troopers observed his vehicle traveling over 100 MPH.
Troopers initiated a traffic stop and while interviewing Pujols detected the odor of alcohol. Pujols was given standard field sobriety tests which he failed. Pujols was subsequently arrested for Felony DWI due to a previous DWI conviction. Pujols’s NY driver’s license had been suspended for the previous DWI conviction and he was additionally charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st degree, an E felony. Pujols was transported to the New York State Police Barracks at Boston where he refused to provide a breath sample. Pujols was printed, photographed, and processed. He was released with appearance tickets returnable to the town of Boston Court on 12/07/20 at 6:00 P.M.
Michael J. Robertson arrested for DWI in Yorkshire
On November 20, 2020, New York State Police Machias Troopers arrested Michael J. Robertson, 55, of Holland, NY for Driving While Intoxicated.
During a traffic stop on State Route 16 in the town of Yorkshire, Robertson was exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication. Troopers determined he had been operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Robertson was then arrested and transported to SP Machias, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.11% BAC..
Robertson was released with appearance tickets for Yorkshire Town Court, where he is due to appear in December.

Melissa A. Farley arrested for felony DWAI-Drugs in Scio
On November 19, 2020, SP Amity Troopers arrested Melissa A. Farley, 37, of Belmont, NY for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs – Previous Conviction Within Ten Years and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree.
During a traffic stop on State Route 19 in the town of Scio, Troopers determined Farley had been operating a vehicle while in an impaired condition. She failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Farley was then arrested and transported to SP Amity, where she refused to submit to either a chemical breath test or a Drug Recognition Expert evaluation.
Farley was arraigned in Allegany County Court and released on her own recognizance. She is due to appear in Scio Town Court in December.
Charles W. Moore charged with DWI
On November 20, 2020, troopers out of SP Boston arrested Charles W. Moore, age 60, of the town of Hamburg, for Driving While Intoxicated. Moore was stopped on Boston State Road in the town of Boston after troopers observed an equipment violation on his vehicle. Troopers initiated a traffic stop and while interviewing Moore detected the odor of alcohol. Moore was given standard field sobriety tests which he failed. Moore was subsequently arrested for DWI. He was transported to SP Boston where he provided a breath sample of .10% BAC. Moore was printed, photographed, and processed. He was released with appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Boston Court on 12/21/20 at 6:00 P.M.
Jorg B. Mruk arrested for DWAI-Drugs and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree
On November 20, 2020, New York State Police Clarence Barracks Troopers arrested Jorg B. Mruk, 23, of Lancaster, NY, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree.
Mruk was operating a 2013 BMW on Main Street in the town of Clarence when he was stopped for driving erratically. Further investigation revealed Mruk had been operating a vehicle while in an impaired condition and was also found in possession of a small amount of crack cocaine. Mruk was arrested and transported to SP Clarence where he refused to be evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE). Mruk was released with appearance tickets for the town of Clarence court for future arraignment
ANOTHER DWI? Par for the course of Laparr?
On November 28, 2020, at approximately 6:38 p.m., State Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, on State Route 3 in Harrisville, for speeding, 53 mph in a posted 30 mph speed zone. The operator, 42-year-old Allen J. Laparr of Harrisville, was subsequently arrested for DWI. His blood-alcohol content was determined to be 0.10%. A check of Laparr’s license revealed his driving privileges had been suspended due to a previous DWI conviction. Laparr was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree (E felony), and DWI. He was released with tickets to appear in Diana Town Court at a later date.
Pamela S. Dean was so sneaky, she zipped into a driveway, parked, and fled behind a house to avoid another DWI arrest… to no avail!
On November 29, 2020, at approximately 2:45 a.m., New York State Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2019 Jeep Cherokee, traveling north on State Route 812 in the town of Fowler, at a speed of 70 mph in a 55 mph zone. The operator pulled into a driveway, parked the vehicle, then exited the vehicle and ran behind a residence. Troopers located the female suspect and she was identified as 45-year-old Pamela S. Dean, of Fowler. Dean refused to submit to a chemical test to determine her blood alcohol content. A check of Dean’s license revealed her driving privileges had been suspended due to a previous DWI conviction. She was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree (E felony) and DWI. Dean was virtually arraigned by the Town Rossie Court and released to return to The Town of Fowler Court at a later date.
Justin Drasye’s Meth Express Sidelined by Trooper
On November 29, 2020, at approximately 1:36 a.m. New York State Police arrested 37-year-old Justin R. Drasye of Tupper Lake, in the parking lot of the Second Pond Boat Launch on State Route 3 in the town of Harrietstown, and operating a 2006 Cadillac Escalade. Drasye was found to be driving while under the influence of drugs. He was also found in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine. He was charged with DWAI-drugs, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. Drasye was released with an appearance ticket for the Harrietstown Town Court.
Nolan L. Swamp among the gang corraled by a trooper on Rt. 11 and charged with 31 Flavors of Drugs; Chad Fountain not fleetfooted enough to elude flatfoot!
On November 20, 2020, at approximately 6:30 p.m., State Police conducted a traffic stop on State Route 11 in the town of Moira on a 2015 Ford F250. The occupants, 39-year-old Jeffrey S. Jarvis, of Burke, 39-year-old Chad P. Fountain of Bangor, 38-year-old Brandy L. Fountain of Bangor, 25-year-old Patrick J. Tremblay of Fort Covington, and 27-year-old Nolan L. Swamp of Hogansburg, were all found in possession of an assortment of narcotics, controlled substances, and paraphernalia. During the course of the investigation, Chad Fountain fled on foot leading the trooper in a foot pursuit. After apprehending Fountain, he tried to physically resist being taken into custody. He was found in possession of a quantity of cocaine, amphetamines, Suboxone, and other drug paraphernalia.
All five suspects were arrested and charged with
- six counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree,
- and one count each of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (with Intent to Sell) 5th degree,
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree,
- and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (with Intent to Sell) 3rd degree.
Additionally, Chad Fountain was charged with
- three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree,
- two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree,
- and one count each of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (with Intent to Sell) 5th degree, ,
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree,
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (with Intent to Sell) 3rd degree, and Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nddegree.
All were arraigned in the Bangor Town Court and released on their own recognizance.
James S. Selman tripped over his own big feet when attempting to flee trooper after being stopped for doing nearly 100
On November 20, 2020, at approximately 9:15 p.m., State Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Standish Road in the town of Saranac, on a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu for speeding, 92 mph in a 55 mph zone.
The trooper activated emergency lighting and the vehicle initially failed to stop. The vehicle then suddenly stopped in front of 2081 Standish Road, and the driver jumped out of the car and ran into the woods. He was apprehended when he tripped and fell. He was identified as 59-year-old James S. Selman of Altona. He was found to have 13 suspensions, and his license was revoked. His blood-alcohol content was determined to be 0.07%. Selman was charged with DWAI, Obstruction of Governmental Administration, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree. He was released with tickets to appear in the Town of Saranac Court.
