New York: Tomkins Sheriff Kenneth Lansing notes recent DWI arrests; William C. Watson charged with DWI after hitting parked cars at Trumansburg Fairgrounds

Tompkins County Sheriff Kenneth Lansing reports the following DWI arrests:
On 7/29/2012 at about 1:03 AM Deputies responded to a one car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of North Triphammer Rd and Auburn Rd in the Town of Lansing. Upon arrival Deputies interviewed the operator, Carol A. ZHE, age 48, of Bossard Rd Groton. Subsequent to the investigation, ZHE was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
ZHE was charged with Moving from Lane Unsafely and DWI. ZHE was released on appearance tickets. ZHE is scheduled to appear in the Town of Lansing Court on 8/16/2012.

 On 7/28/2012 at about 2:00 AM Deputies responded to a one car role-over motor vehicle accident on Trumbulls Corners Rd in the Town of Newfield. The operator of a green 1999 Volkswagen, being Kirstyn M. CARLISLE, age 20, of 115 Benjamin Hill Rd had lost control of her vehicle and went off the road. Subsequent to the investigation, CARLISLE was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
CARLISLE was charged with Failed to Keep Right, Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident, Unregistered Motor Vehicle and two counts of DWI.
CARLISLE was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Newfield Court on 8/28/2012

On 07/28/2012 at 5:45 P:M Deputies responded to Central Chapel Road near Seventy-Six Road in the Town of Caroline for a report of an erratic driving complaint.
The operator of a red 2005 Chevrolet, being Frances Falardeau, age 73, of 3 Seventy-Six Road, Brooktondale was found in her driveway by deputies and subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Falardeau was charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and released on appearance tickets.
Falardeau is to appear in the Town of Caroline Court on August 27, 2012 at 5:00 P:M.

On 7/27/2012 at about 12:17 AM Deputies were on patrol and observed a white 1999 Jeep traveling at a high rate of speed while southbound on Groton Rd (St Rt 38) in the Town of Dryden. Deputies conducted a traffic stop of said vehicle and interviewed the operator, being William E. CROSS, age 35, of 301 Maple Ave Ithaca, NY. Subsequent to the investigation, CROSS was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
CROSS was charged with Speeding and two counts of DWI. CROSS is scheduled to appear in the Town of Dryden Court on 8/13/12.

On 7/22/2012 at about 6:00 AM Deputies working the Grassroots Festival located in Trumanburg, NY were alerted to a possible intoxicated driver that had struck several parked and unoccupied vehicles in the area of the Trumansburg Fairgrounds. Within close proximity to the incident, Deputies located a Grey 2012 Toyota Corolla, being operated by William C. WATSON, with heavy damage to the front of the vehicle. Subsequent to the investigation, William C. WATSON, age 32, of 22010 Velicata St Woodland Hills, CA was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
WATSON was charged with Moved from Lane Unsafely, Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident and two counts of DWI. WATSON was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ulysses Court on 8/7/12.
Tompkins County Deputies were assisted by the New York State Police in this investigation.

 Sheriff Lansing reports that on 07/21/2012 at about 1820 HRS, Tompkins County Sheriff’s deputies arrested James C. Suriano III age 22, of Troy, NY after an investigation into items being thrown from a motor vehicle on Agard Road in the Town of Ulysses. Suriano was the operator and owner of the vehicle involved in the complaint.  While conducting the investigation, deputies discovered Marijuana, Methamphetamines and $959.00 dollars in U.S. Currency.
As a result, Suriano was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to sell, a class B Felony and Criminal Possession of Marijuana a class B Misdemeanor.  Suriano was taken before Judge Schlee of the Town of Ulysses Court where he was arraigned and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail in lieu $2,000 cash or $4,000 bail bond.     The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by The NYS Police.

On 7/14/2012 at about 2:17 AM deputies observed a Red 2001 Ford traveling in a easterly direction on Mecklenburg Rd in the Town of Ithaca. Subsequent to a traffic stop, deputies arrested Otto A. AAGAARD, age 49, of Mecklenburg Rd Ithaca for Driving While Intoxicated. AAGAARD was charged with Failure to Keep Right, two counts of DWI and one count of Aggravated DWI.
AAGAARD was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ithaca Court on 8/09/2012.

 On 7/13/2012 at about 3:31 AM deputies observed a White 1999 Infinity traveling in a northerly direction on Elm St in the City of Ithaca. Subsequent to a traffic stop deputies arrested Timothy A. Anderson, age 22, of West Buffalo St Ithaca for Driving While Intoxicated. ANDERSON was charged with Operating without Headlights, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd degree, Unlicensed Operation and two counts of DWI.
ANDERSON was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Ithaca City Court on 8/01/2012.
