American dream cut short: family remembers motorcycle crash victim
He moved to Rochester from the Ukraine to live the American dream. But Friday night, that dream was cut short when he was killed riding his motorcycle.
38-year-old Ivan Furdey was riding his motorcycle on Route 31 in Perinton Friday night. At the intersection of South Cross Trail, police say a car turned into his path, and the two collided.
The driver of the car, 51-year-old Frank Kuilman of Fairport, is charged with Vehicular Manslaughter, DWI, and Driving Without a License.
Furdey’s family says he was just three days away from being in this country 22 years. Today, they’re mourning a man who left them too soon.
“He was just the greatest person to know. A lot of people are missing him,” said Furdey’s cousin, Dana Piekova. …..MORE
