A 33-year-old Riverhead man was arrested for drunken driving after he crashed his car and fled the scene shortly after midnight Sunday in Southampton, Southampton Town Police said. Leonel Xajap rear-ended a Toyota Highlander that was stopped at a red light at the corner of Flanders Road and Cross River Drive and after exiting his vehicle to speak with the other driver, Xajap got back into his car in an attempt to leave the scene but struck the stopped Highlander a second time at 12:05 a.m., police said….MORE
