A University of Rochester researcher pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges that he fled a drunken-driving crash that killed another driver.
An indictment charges Benjamin W. Smith, 42, with second-degree manslaughter, second-degree vehicular manslaughter, leaving the scene of a fatal accident and driving while intoxicated in an April 3 collision that fatally injured Raymond E. Arnold, 21, at Rossiter and Castleman roads.
