New York: Webster Police noted for 261 percent increase in DWI arrests in 2010

Webster Police Chief Gerald Pickering hoped to increased the department’s Driving While Intoxicated arrests by 25 percent in 2010. They met their goal, and then some, and are being recognized for being a county leader in DWI enforcement.
The department had 31 arrests in 2009 for DWI, upping to 211 in 2010 — a 261 percent increase. The team was recognized by the Monroe County Stop DWI program on Wednesday, being deemed with the Agency Appreciation Award. ….MORE
