DURHAM (July 2, 2011)  State troopers say the driver of a tractor-trailer was under the influence of marijuana and methadone when his vehicle caused a crash on Interstate 40 that killed three people Thursday.
Ronald Eugene Graybeal, 50, is in the Durham County jail after being charged with driving while impaired and three counts of felony death by vehicle.
Graybeal, of 306 Elena Lane in Newport, Tenn., is a convicted rapist and burglar, according to court records…..MORE

A tractor-trailer driver from East Tennesee faces multiple charges after a crash in North Carolina that killed three people.
Ronald Eugene Graybeal, 50, of Newport is charged with felony death by vehicle, two counts of misdemeanor death by vehicle, DWI, possession of marijuana, methadone and drug paraphernalia.
Authorities say Graybeal was driving west on I-40 near U.S. Highway 15/501 Thursday when he crashed into four vehicles, killing three of the drivers.
According to WRAL-TV in Raleigh, Graybeal first crashed into the back of a Ford F-250 truck driven by John Hall Llanio, 38, of Kanapolis, and then a Chevy Equinox driven by Barbara Boda Caldwell, 64, of Mebane, troopers said. .….MORE
