A driver has been charged with DWI in a wrong-way collision that killed two people in Greensboro early Friday morning.
Ian Michael Smith, 20, of Archdale, was fleeing police on the wrong side of the road in a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse when he collided head-on with a 1995 Chevy pickup truck around 2:15 a.m.
Smith was charged with driving while impaired and driving after drinking while underage.
