North Carolina: boozing CO of Marine Air Base already lost his command, court martial is pending but DWI charge is dropped

A charge against the former commanding officer of Cherry Point Air Station for driving after his license was revoked was dismissed Thursday, according to officials with the Northampton County Clerk of Court’s office. The charge followed a traffic stop by a state trooper in Northampton County, occurring less than 30 days after Col. Douglas Denn, 47, was arrested on Oct. 25 while driving on U.S. 70 in Carteret County and charged with driving while impaired, driving with an open container, and speeding 12 miles over the posted limit of 55 miles per hour. ….MORE
