North Carolina: Deputy quits after his arrest for DWI

: For those who are sympathetic to this deputy for throwing away his career, remember, any off-duty officer who finds him or herself in the position of needing to travel after drinking has the same options as everyone else, to call a cab or a friend, in addition, he can likely call another cop to get a ride.   A taxi will cost about $25 bucks to get just about anywhere…see what you get out of a lawyer for 25 bucks…

Lillington, N.C. — A Harnett County deputy resigned last week after being charged with drunken driving, authorities said Tuesday.
The state Highway Patrol arrested Gary L. Boney early Friday in Johnston County and charged him with driving while impaired and driving left of center, authorities said. No other details of the were available Tuesday. ….MORE
