HENDERSONVILLE, NC -2013-09-02 — Police say a man drove into one of their officers while he attempted to stop the car early Monday morning.

Police say Dale Nash of Hendersonville was driving the wrong way on 6th Avenue near Main Street. The officer tried to stop Nash, but was struck and landed on the hood of the still-moving car for a short distance.

Nash was finally caught and arrested.

HPD investigators say Officer Garrett Gardin suffered minor injuries, but has returned to duty. ….MORE
