North Carolina: Kill Devil Hills Police tag Meagan K. Norton with DWI while texting; struck pedestrian

A 27-year-old Kill Devil Hills woman was arrested last weekend after police alleged she struck a pedestrian while driving impaired and texting.
Dare County EMS crews were dispatched Feb. 23 just before 3 p.m. to the 1900 block of Bay Drive between West 5th Street and Helen Lane, in response to a report of a woman being struck by a vehicle.
According to Kill Devil Hills Police, Meagan K. Norton was arrested after her vehicle hit a 47-year-old woman.
The victim suffered serious injuries, but no additional information was provided.
Norton was charged with felonious injury by vehicle, driving while impaired, drinking ….MORE
