North Carolina: Life came to a screeching halt for Rosemarie Lyle as all the attention will now focus on Melissa Rae Wooten as she faces DWI death rap

A 55-year-old woman who was trying to cross the street was struck and killed late Thursday night by a driver who police say was intoxicated.
Melissa Rae Wooten, 29, has been charged in the case. Police say she initially left the scene of the incident but returned a short time later.
Charlootte-Mecklenburg police identified the victim as Rosemarie Lyle.
According to police, Lyle was struck about 11:55 p.m. as she tried to cross North Tryon Street near Guy Suddreth Avenue. That is near the NoDa area, a short distance south of Craighead Avenue.
