LENOIR COUNTY — An alleged drunk man tried to take down six officers while they were administering a blood test. Curtis Thompson, 34, injured Lenoir County Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Manning and attacked five others on Sunday, when local authorities tried to take a sample of his blood for proof he was not sober enough to drive.
