John Parham waited a long time for Monday to roll around. Almost nine years, in fact.
A drunken driver hit Parham in Guilford County on his way home from work on March 12, 2002. The collision left him with a pair of ruptured disks in his neck, injuries that had to be repaired with six screws, a metal plate and pieces of bone.
The other driver, a man named Michael Matheny, was charged with driving while impaired and resisting an officer. Six months later, in September 2002, Matheny was convicted and received a suspended sentence…..MORE
