North Carolina: Marines shouldn’t kill their fellow Americans by getting drunk and mowing them down while they are riding bikes

The Marine Corps confirms that a New Bern man arrested in a drunk driving case that killed a bicyclist is stationed at Cherry Point.

Staff Sgt. Michael Wagner is currently facing only a DWI charge, though  police say further charges are pending.

Police say Heather Pfaff was struck on Old Airport Road around 8:00 p.m.  Wednesday night.  The woman was taken to CarolinaEast Medical Center where police say she later died.

According to warrants, because Wagner’s blood alcohol content was .07,  just under the legal limit of .08, when he was tested a couple of hours after the crash, he is out of jail and still has his driver’s license.   ….MORE
