PGPD Suspends Officer After DUI Charge

A Prince George’s County Police officer has had his police powers suspended after the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority Police Department charged him with DUI on Sunday, October 12, 2014.  Corporal Arvester Horner was off duty at the time of his arrest.
The Prince Georges Police Special Investigation Response Team (SIRT) launched an administrative investigation immediately after learning of the arrest.  Corporal Horner is currently suspended with pay pending an administrative hearing.
The officer did not have his duty weapon nor was he driving a departmental vehicle.
Corporal Horner has been employed by the PGPD for 14 years, and is currently assigned to the Bureau of Patrol.
