North Carolina: Over the hill hoops player still an ace at driving drunk — wins 5th DWI

RALEIGH — Former N.C. State basketball star Anthony Grundy was charged with being a habitual impaired driver Wednesday afternoon after he was stopped and charged with DWI for a fifth time. Grundy, an All-ACC guard who played his final season with the Wolfpack in 2002, has been convicted of DWI three times and had another DWI charge pending when he was pulled over shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday, according to court records. Police say Grundy’s blood alcohol content was .16, or twice the legal limit. He was charged with felony habitual impaired driver.  MORE
