North Carolina: Samuel Ray Cox now faces murder as well as DUI felony charges; killed Shelba C. Lane

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A Winston-Salem man charged with DUI in a head-on collision that left one woman dead now faces more charges.

Winston-Salem police said Tuesday an arrest warrant was served for 33-year-old Samuel Ray Cox on charges of second-degree murder and felony death by motor vehicle.

Police had already charged Cox with driving while intoxicated in a crash that killed Shelba C. Lane of Pinnacle.
