Cass County Deputy Arrested for DUI
CASS COUNTY, N.D. (August 3rd, 2021) – Around 6:00 PM August 2, 2021, Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner was notified by the Fargo Police Department that they had responded to a crash involving a Cass County Deputy. The crash occurred at Custom Express Car Wash in South Fargo.
Through their investigation, the driver of the vehicle was identified as Cass County Deputy Jacob Danielson. During the investigation, it was learned that his two children were present during the crash and no injuries were reported. Danielson was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) of alcohol with a minor present.
Danielson began his employment with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office in May of 2020 and his current assignment is as a licensed correctional deputy in the Cass County Jail. An internal investigation within the Cass County Sheriff’s Office will take place and Danielson will be placed on administrative leave.

Although we realize that police officers can make mistakes, they are not above the law and need to maintain a high level of professionalism at all times and be held accountable when necessary. I want to thank the Fargo Police Department for investigating this incident and performing their duties in a professional manner.”
TOO MUCH OF THAT DRUG STUFF TO DRIVE FOR KRISTINA JO BUDKE IN LAUNCH INTO SPACE
A driver from Fargo didn’t want to wait for the next space shuttle and decided to blast off in her own space shot. Fargo Police report that on August 4, 2021, at 5:30 a.m., Fargo Police Officers, along with Fargo Fire and FM Ambulance, responded to a report of a one-vehicle crash on 1 Ave. N. and 11 St. N. Officers learned the driver of the vehicle, identified as Kristina Jo Budke, 36, of Fargo, was traveling westbound on 1 Ave N at a high rate of speed and lost control of her vehicle in the 1000 block of 1 Ave. N.
Once Budke was removed from the vehicle, she was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for minor injuries. A Drug Recognition Expert Officer identified signs of drug impairment with Budke and conducted an investigation. Budke was cited and released for DUI. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
