Oklahoma: Betty Edwards Jamison, 80, pleads no contest to killing Latrice White as she drove impaired by booze and drugs

An 80-year-old Tulsa woman was jailed Tuesday to await sentencing in a vehicular manslaughter case.

Betty Edwards Jamison, 80, pleaded no contest to first-degree manslaughter in connection with the death of Latrice White, 31.
Tulsa County District Judge William Kellough ordered Jamison, who had not been in custody, put in the Tulsa Jail to await an Oct. 15 sentencing hearing.
Jamison drove a northbound Cadillac that did not stop at a stop sign at 5600 N. Hartford Ave. about 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 18, 2010, police reported.
The Cadillac struck a vehicle that was eastbound on 56th Street North.
That vehicle was pushed into a sport-utility vehicle driven by White, and she was fatally injured, police reported.
When they charged Jamison in August 2010, prosecutors alleged that she drove while ”impaired by Tramadol prescription medication
