PORTLAND, ORE. 02/07/2016 — Women can keep up with men anytime in the booze cruise arena and Amanda Shelton proved she had what it takes to be given a cell with a view through the bars of the cross-bar hotel in Multnomah County. Shelton’s booze cruise included giving the ride of their lives to her three children, which must have been a real treat for the kids when this pudgy boozedroid rammed a police car. This dangerous female has been charged with several felonies and more are sure to be added by the District Attorney.

Police say that 28-year-old Amanda Christine Shelton was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Assault in the Second Degree, Attempt to Elude by Vehicle, Reckless Driving (four counts), and Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII). She will be arraigned on Monday. Shelton may face additional charges at a later time.

According to Portland, Oregon, Police, on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 12:24 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the area of Northeast 70th Avenue and Sandy Boulevard on the report of a reckless driver in a white SUV.

As officers were responding to the area, numerous calls were made to 9-1-1 by witnesses to the reckless driving in the area, heading northwest into North Precinct. Officers received information that a witness heard someone in the vehicle saying something about a gun and that the driver seemed to be trying to run people off of the road. Another witness reported seeing a young person seated in the front seat crying.

North Precinct officers spotted the vehicle near North Interstate Avenue and Lombard Street, where the suspect rammed a patrol car then sped out of the area. Officers pursued the suspect to the area of North Cecelia Street and Portsmouth Avenue, where officers successfully utilized a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) to spin the vehicle out and get the suspect stopped.

Officers took the driver, a 28-year-old female, into custody. Officers located three children in the vehicle, all of whom were unharmed. The children are approximately 3, 5 and 11 years old and are related to the driver. They will be turned over to their family.

The Traffic Division’s Major Crash Team has responded to conduct an investigation into the suspect’s actions.
