Oregon: Kaylyn A. Frizzell roamed over fields and streams in her Land Rover; wins DUI charge for best crash of the night

DRIVER FACING DUII CHARGE FOLLOWING INJURY TRAFFIC CRASH – OLD BEND REDMOND HIGHWAY NORTH OF BEND

04/26/2014 — Two people were injured early Saturday morning following a single vehicle rollover crash along Old Bend Redmond Highway near Tumalo Road north of Bend. Oregon State Police (OSP) cited the driver for DUII as the investigation continues.

On April 26, 2014 at approximately 1:17 a.m., a 2000 Landrover sport utility vehicle driven by KAYLYN A. FRIZZELL, age 23, from Redmond, was northbound on Old Bend Redmond Highway when it traveled off the road and rolled in a field. FRIZZELL and passenger JACOB SCHOTTHEFER, age 30, from Powell Butte, were injured and transported by ambulance to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend.

Initial investigation by OSP troopers from the Bend Area Command office led FRIZZELL to be cited for DUII. Trooper Josh Nagle is the lead investigator.

OSP was assisted at the scene by Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office and local emergency responders.
