Oregon: Portland Police clocked bozo on motorcycle at 139 mph; he wound up in jail rather than splattered against a tree!


According to Portland Police Public Information Officer Lt. Kelli Sheffer, a speeding DUI driver is still alive after running up the clock of life to the nth degree. Last night, Saturday April 9, 2011, at approximately 10:55 p.m., a Portland Police Bureau Traffic Division officer spotted an orange motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed on eastbound I-84. The officer got behind the motorcycle and eventually stopped it near Northeast 148th Avenue on I-84 after the motorcycle rider briefly attempted to elude the police.
The rider, 24-year-old Marco Alfonso Huerta-Castillo of Northeast Portland, was arrested for Attempt to Elude, DUII, Reckless Driving and booked into the Multnomah County Jail. Huerta-Castillo was also given traffic citations for Speeding (139 mph), Driving While Suspended, Driving Uninsured, and No Motorcycle Endorsement.
