Oregon: Portland police report man drove his vehicle onto the Max Tracks


Bozo stayed on the tracks until he hit a signal building along rail line
Portland Police report that at approximately 6:30 p.m. tonight March 10, 2011, 51-year old Donald Vakulich was driving westbound on Southwest Jefferson Street in the Goose Hallow area when he drove his 2008 Toyota Tacoma pickup off the roadway and onto the Max Tracks. His vehicle continued traveling westbound on the tracks until he crashed into an outbuilding. Vakulich was taken into custody and transported to Central Precinct for further investigation.
Lt. Kelli Sheffer reports that officers determined that alcohol was a factor in this crash.
Police say that Vakulich will be charged with Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Alcohol, Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, Reckless Driving and Interfering with Public Transportation. Vakulich will be lodged in the downtown Multnomah County Facility.   See photo of pickup truck with this report from The Oregonian
