SPEED AND ALCOHOL BEING INVESTIGATED IN TRIPLE FATALITY CRASH NEAR GATES – MARION COUNTY

David Trimble of Lebanon Oregon killed three people in alcohol and speed suspected crash into trees.

Oregon State Police report that on Monday, October 1, 2018, at approximately 6:42 pm, Oregon State Police Troopers, and emergency personnel responded to the report of a motor vehicle crash on Hwy 22E near milepost 35.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a silver 2004 GMC Envoy carrying five occupants, was traveling westbound on Hwy 22E when the vehicle left the roadway and struck several trees.

The Driver and one passenger were transported with serious injuries to local hospitals.

The operator of the GMC Envoy has been identified as David Trimble, 31, from Lebanon, Oregon was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

PASSENGERS:

Brandon Mims (34) Lebanon, OR. transported to a hospital with serious injuries.

Daniel Oliver O’Neal (24) Foster, OR. sustained fatal injuries and pronounced deceased at the scene.

Amanda Salmon (23) Lebanon, OR. sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Stacie Williams (31) Ocala, Florida sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Two occupants were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene.  A third occupant remained in the vehicle and was also pronounced deceased at the scene.

Hwy 22E was completely closed for approximately 2.5 hours following the crash before the eastbound lane was opened.

OSP was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Keizer Police Department,  Gates Fire, Lyons EMS, and Oregon Department of Transportation.

Amanda McKenzie Salmon killed in Lebanon Oregon DUI triple fatal crash Oct. 1, 2018

Amanda McKenzie Salmon, 23, of Lebanon, died Monday, following a motor vehicle accident.
Amanda was born July 6, 1995 in Albany, Oregon. She lived in Kentucky and Colorado before moving to Independence, Oregon in 2009, where she graduated from Central High School in 2014.
Amanda then attended and completed the Air and Hospitality Academy Program in Vancouver, WA. She took a position with Norwegian Cruise Lines in Hawaii where she worked for 1 ½ years. Amanda then moved to Lebanon and attended Linn Benton Community College. She had just recently began working for Brookdale Assisted Living in Lebanon.
Amanda enjoyed baking especially cakes and doing crafts. She loved horses and dreamed of owning a horse ranch and working in an animal rescue.
She is survived by her parents Buffy and Ron Dove, Kevin and Stacie Salmon, brothers, Kyle Salmon, Shawn Dove, Andrew Salmon, Nathan Dove, Gabe Salmon and Zach Salmon, grandparents Kenneth and Linda Clark, Sharon and Bob Mitchell, Merrill and Alice Salmon, , Robert Dove and Rudy and Brenda Page, and great-grandmother Lois Keating.
Viewing will be from 4 – 7:00 PM, Wednesday, October 10, at Huston-Jost Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, Oct. 11, at Willamette Memorial Park in Albany. A celebration of her life will follow at 1:00 PM, Thursday, Oct. 11, at South Albany Community Church, 2418 SE Geary St, Albany, OR 97322. Daniel Oliver O’Neal killed in triple fatality crash Oregon Oct. 1, 2018 driver David Trimble

Daniel Oliver O’Neal, 24, of Foster, passed away Monday.

He was born in Santa Rosa, California, to Brian Oliver O’Neal and Joy Anna Stackhouse.

He and his family moved to Foster in 2003. He loved baseball and was a great pitcher. He was also a huge Steelers fan. He worked at Walmart in Lebanon.

Daniel enjoyed camping, fishing, music, drawing, hiking, the ocean and always loved being with and playing with his nephew Delton. Danny “Bro” was loved by many friends and was always there for them. He will always be loved and never forgotten.

He is survived by his parents, Brian O’Neal and Joy Stackhouse of Foster; grandparents, Jack and Lana Stackhouse of Foster; brother, Anthony O’Neal of Lebanon; aunt, Kris Stackhouse-Marx of Sacramento, California; uncle, Matt Stackhouse of Lebanon; nephew, Delton who always put a smile on his face; numerous great uncles and aunts; and many cousins.

Daniel was preceded in death by his grandfather, Delton Ray O’Neal, in 1992; and grandmother, Ida O’Neal. in 2014.

A celebration of life will be 4 p.m. on Monday, October 8, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
