PENNSYLVANIA: Impaired Kathleen Wesley charged with DUI assault when passed stopped school bus and hit a child causing serious injuries

Bensalem Police report that officers investigated a struck pedestrian crash that occurred at 7:28 a.m. on January 6, 2020. 

The crash occurred at the intersection of Bensalem Boulevard and Timber Lane.   Police say that a twelve-year-old female was crossing Bensalem Blvd to board a school bus when she was struck by a White 2000 Ford F-150 pick up truck driven by Kathleen Wesley, 35, of Croydon, PA. 

The police investigation revealed that Kathleen Wesley failed to stop for the red stop signals on the bus and struck the juvenile female.

The police investigation revealed that Kathleen Wesley failed to stop for the red stop signals on the bus and struck the juvenile female.  A test of her blood also revealed that she was under the influence at the time of the crash. 

The juvenile was treated for numerous serious injuries and remains in the hospital.

Kathleen Wesley was arraigned by District Justice Wagner and sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $100,000 bail. Arrest Date:  Thursday, February 13, 2020

  • Aggravated Assault while DUI
  • Aggravated Assault by Vehicle
  • Recklessly Endangering another Person Meeting or Overtaking a School Bus
  • Reckless Driving
