Police have arrested a city man, suspected of driving drunk or high, in an overnight wreck in Castor that left two people dead.
The man, 33, was driving a 2001 Yukon east on St. Vincent Street just before 12:30 a.m. when he allegedly blew through a red light and T-boned a Honda Accord that was heading south on Bustleton Avenue, said Sgt. Joseph Rossa of the Accident Investigation District. The impact pushed the Accord into a Jeep Cherokee northbound on Bustleton, Rossa added.
Two people in the Accord died on the scene, and the Jeep driver, an off-duty police lieutenant headed home after work, suffered minor injuries, Rossa said. ….MORE
