A Bellwood dad who drove to the Altoona police station to pick up his son after his arrest on drunken-driving charges was also drunk, police alleged.
David C. Peterson Jr., 24, of 703 N. 11th St., Bellwood, was arrested early Jan. 20 at Fourth Street and Caroline Avenue by Altoona police. They were alerted to a suspected drunken driver by a PennDOT truck driver who had spotted Peterson allegedly slumped over in his 1998 Ford Taurus near Route 220 and Sabbath Rest Road, police said.
