A Rhode Island man accused in a drinking and driving accident in 2012 that killed a woman changed his plea to guilty in court Tuesday.
Jason Kwolek, 33, of Pawtucket, pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter in Fall River Superior Court. He’s scheduled to be sentenced on April 25.
Police said Kwolek’s SUV crossed the center line on Route 152 in Attleboro and crashed head on into an oncoming vehicle driven by 24-year-old Kaisha Guerrini.

A Rhode Island man is facing vehicular homicide and drunken-driving charges after he crashed head-on with another car in Attleboro, police said, killing a young woman last night in what one official called “one of the worst” accident scenes he’s ever seen.
Jason Kwolek, 32, of Pawtucket, R.I., is recovering at Rhode Island Hospital with what fire officials described as minor injuries after the devastating crash on North Main Street. Police and firefighters rushed to the scene around 10:27 p.m., where Fire Capt. Charlie Moore said officials needed 20 minutes to extricate both drivers from their badly mangled cars.
Both were rushed to the hospital, where the victim — described by Moore as a woman in her 20s — was pronounced dead. ….MORE
