WARREN — A Barrington man who was drunk behind the wheel was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years for running down and killing a Warren man, and then fleeing from the scene, in a Bristol accident nearly two years ago.
Matthew Sullivan, of Grant Street in Barrington, pleaded no contest Wednesday to a host of charges and was given 15 years — including three at the ACI — for the death of Warren resident Joseph Hunt, 28.
Mr. Sullivan, who was driving his parents’ SUV, struck Mr. Hunt at about 1:30 a.m. Aug. 23, 2009, as the Warren man walked home from a bar in Bristol. ….MORE
