MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (Oct. 23, 2012) — A 25-year-old man charged with driving under the influence in connection with a Myrtle Beach crash that killed a 27-year-old man has been to traffic school twice and previously arrested for DUI and 18 other various traffic offenses in his home state of Florida, according to records there.
Jared McRae Mahler, 25, of Ocoee, Fla., was charged early Tuesday with felony DUI with death results in the crash that occurred about 5:40 p.m. Monday and killed Jacob Young, 27, of Palmetto Bay, Fla., according to authorities.
An autopsy performed Tuesday morning showed Young died from multiple trauma he received in the crash, Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler said. It was unclear if Young had been wearing a seatbelt because he had been removed from the vehicle ….MORE
