Lexington, S.C. (January 6, 2017) – The Lexington Police Department continues to investigate an overnight D.U.I. related traffic fatality collision which resulted in the death of a driver in one of the two vehicles involved.
Police say that on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at approximately 11:12 p.m., officers of the Lexington Police Department responded to a collision with injuries that occurred near the 4200 block of Sunset Blvd. in Lexington, South Carolina.

The driver of one of the vehicles involved died from injuries sustained during the collision.

During the course of the investigation, it was found that the driver who caused the collision by failing to stop for a signal light was intoxicated.

This driver was identified as Nicole Marie Wilson of Lexington, South Carolina.

Nicole Marie Wilson was transported to the Lexington County Detention Center and charged with Felony Driving Under the Influence Involving Death.
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the victim as 75-year-old Roger Johnson of Cayce. Johnson was taken to the hospital where he died from blunt force trauma.
