Pennsylvania: Upper Allen Township Police report DUI arrest of Leslie Kimmey after crash on US 15

Upper Allen Township Police report: On January 14, 2015 at approximately 11:25 AM, Kimmey was driving a vehicle and turned right onto Mt. Allen Drive after crossing a bridge over US Route 15. Kimmey failed to negotiate the turn properly and struck an oncoming car. When police arrived, they found that Kimmey was intoxicated and she was arrested at the scene for DUI. There were no injuries in the crash, but Kimmey’s vehicle required towing from the scene. Kimmey was transported to Cumberland County Prison for processing. A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date.

CENTENNIAL, COLORADO 01/17/2015– According to the District Attorney George Brauchler of the 18th Judicial District on Jan. 16, 2015, an Arapahoe County jury convicted Jemal Abdelkader Dawed, 39 of Aurora, of the Vehicular Homicide of Littleton Police Department Officer Kevin Wayne Denner (2013CR1015 – Arapahoe County).

The jury found the defendant guilty of Vehicular Homicide – DUI (F3), Vehicular Homicide – Reckless Driving (F4), Driving Under The Influence, Driving Under The Influence Per Se, Fail To Yield Right Of Way/left Turn. The jury deliberated for approximately three hours.

Virginia: judge delays release of rejected plea deal in DUI manslaughter case of Nicholas Perry Hansel – In a Sept. 19 letter to the court, prosecutor Robert Joyce, Jr. argued the proposed plea agreement, if made public, “would most certainly be prejudicial to one or both sides, and thereby very likely taint the jury pool when the case is tried in the future.

The public’s right to know, he said, “does not and should not override both the accused’s and the Commonwealth’s right to a fair trial.”
