Maryland: Kaitlin Ashley Omara given sweet deal for killing two on motorcycle while DUI in her Nissan

CENTREVILLE, MD. — Kaitlin Ashley Omara was sentenced on Jan. 13, 2015 to three years in jail for killing a motorcyclist and his passenger while she drove under the influence in a blazing crash in 2013.

Queen Anne County States Attorney Lance Richardson reported that on September 17, 2014 Kaitlin Ashley Omara of 439 Barnes Ave., Westminster, Maryland entered a plea of guilty to two counts of Negligent Homicide while under the influence of alcohol.

Pennsylvania: Adams County Judge sends Jonathan Giannotto to jail for up to 10 years for DUI death of riding mower operator Charles Ankney

Hanover, Pa. 01/14/2015 — A Hamilton Township man was sentenced to three-and-a-half to 10 years in state prison for killing a man while driving under the influence in August 2013, said Miranda Blazek, Adams County assistant district attorney.

Jonathan Giannotto, 46, was taken into custody Jan. 12 following his sentence hearing in Adams County Court, Blazek said.

01/13/2015 – An Orlando man was killed Sunday night when a woman driving a BMW hit the back of his Toyota, causing him to slam into a concrete wall on Winter Garden Vineland Road near Lake Buena Vista, state troopers said.

Authorities said the woman, later identified as 30-year-old Gina Estrada, of New York, didn’t stick around after the alcohol-related crash.

Vermont: State Police report DUI arrests for Jan. 12, 2015

Vermont State Police located William Rose of Sharon inside his vehicle at a residence in Sharon while assisting another Windsor County Law Enforcement Agency. A BOL had been issued for Rose’s truck after it had been reported to have gone off the road.

While speaking with Rose Troopers noted signs of possible intoxication. Rose provided a preliminary breath sample which indicated a blood alcohol concentration of .183%.

Rose was arrested without incident and transported to the Royalton State Police Barracks where he was later released on a citation to appear in Windsor County Superior Court; Criminal Division to answer to the charge of DUI#2.
