Around 2;07 a.m. on January 11, Tampa FHP Troopers were investigating a traffic crash along the SR-618 eastbound travel lanes on the lower deck at the 11 Milepost. The roadway was closed for the crash investigation and the Tampa Police Department was on-scene assisting with the roadway closure.

Meanwhile, 24-year-old Carrington Carlyle Cox was driving on the Expressway and failed to exit and proceeded to go around the road closure

Bishop who killed bicyclist and fled the scene was DUI in 2010; pot charges were dropped

BALTIMORE, MD. — An Episcopal Bishop with a DUI conviction on her record and pot packing in her history with police apparently nailed and killed a Baltimore man who was riding his bike on Sunday. No charges have been placed yet against Heather Elizabeth Cook, 58, the first woman Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland, who, perhaps had too much communion wine at Sunday services.

David Hanson, 55, was arrested for DUII after he drove his vehicle off Rogue River Drive and down an embankment near the location.
