California: Erwin Monterroso released from jail after charged with fatal DUI crash; Homayon Moaven dead
Monterroso and a 21 year old male passenger in the Mazda pickup sustained moderate injuries and were transported to a local hospital. PSPD had probable cause to believe that Monterroso was driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage at the time of the collision.
California: Elias “Speedy” Gonzalez charged with DUI when he hit traffic sign
The driver, Elias Gonzalez, 25, of Palm Desert, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/ or drugs. Gonzalez was taken to a local area hospital as a precaution and then booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.

The driver of the vehicle, Edna Gonzalez, 20, residing in Indio, failed to maintain a straight course of travel. Gonzalez’ vehicle collided with a Time Warner Cable box, a Solar Tech traffic control billboard trailer sign, and a metal posted traffic control sign, all of which were located just west of S/B Monterey Avenue
California: teen killed in crash; Huntington Police charge Jaime Xahuentit Palacios with DUI homicide
The driver of the silver Nissan Frontier, Jaime Xahuentit Palacios, a 39 year old resident of Santa Ana, was ultimately arrested on suspicion of felony DUI resulting in death as well as driving while unlicensed. The Nissan Frontier is believed to be related to the original drunk driver call.
California: Indian Wells Police report DUI arrest; Leonard Hayes didn’t run the red light, he ran into the red light
The driver of the vehicle, Leonard Hayes, 39 years old, residing in Thousand Palms, failed to maintain a straight course of travel as he drove south on Washington Street. Hayes’ vehicle collided with a traffic control light located in the northwest corner of the intersection of Washington Street and Miles Avenue.
