Lillian Kay Waniata, 59 of Palm Desert, was traveling eastbound on Gran Via in a blue Chrysler 300, when she suddenly entered the golf course and collided into the wash basin.

The driver, Jesus Ozuel Valadez (age 23 of Coachella) was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol/ and or drugs and driving on a suspended license.

Deputies contacted the driver, Jesus Sanchez, age 62 of Thermal, who was found hiding in the trees near his vehicle.

The driver, Elias Gonzalez, 25, of Palm Desert, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/ or drugs. Gonzalez was taken to a local area hospital as a precaution and then booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.

According to Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Adam Elders, on December 6, 2014 at about 4:07 a.m. officers from the Coachella Police Department responded to the 50600 block of Suncrest St. regarding a report of a vehicle colliding into a wall. The investigation revealed that Victor Rodriguez, age 19 of Coachella, was driving his Ford Mustang while under the influence of alcohol and collided with a wall inside the apartment complex. Rodriguez was not injured but was taken to a local hospital as a precaution prior to being booked into the Riverside County jail in Indio.
