Hartland, Vermont: Vermont State Police report that on November 11, 2017, at approximately 9:32 pm, Vermont State Police dispatch received a call in regard to a vehicle off the road in the area of VT Route 12 and Davis Road in the Town of Hartland, VT (Windsor County).
According to Lamoille County Sheriff’s Cpl. Nathan Wolfe, a crash on Nov. 8, 2017 at 6:41 pm took place on Vermont Rt. 15 in the area of Nadeau’s Gravel Pit near the Town of Johnson, Vermont and resulted in the death of a passenger and the arrest of the driver on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and or drugs.
Williams was headed south on Route 5 and left the roadway just past Rice Rd. The Subaru rolled over and came to rest on its roof.
The results of the preliminary breath sample was a BAC of .301%. She was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI
The results of Davis’s blood sample indicated that her blood alcohol concentration was .210% on the night of the crash.
On June 17, 2015 at approximately 5:50 pm operator #1, Holly Gonyeau, was traveling south on the Greenbush Road in the town of Ferrisburgh when her vehicle collided with a bicycle ridden by Kenneth Najarian also traveling south. Najarian died at the scene as a result of the injuries sustained from the crash. Gonyeau provided a preliminary breath test indicating a blood alcohol content of .123%
At this time the crash is still under investigation but speed and alcohol are believed to be a factor in this crash. The operator Michael Woloshchuk was issued a citation for DUI refusal, LSA and Gross Negligent Operation before he was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in NH.
