DUI killer was three times the legal limit

LEBANON, Tenn. – A Lebanon woman convicted of killing two people while driving drunk last year was sentenced Tuesday to 50 years in prison.
Barbara Mayfield faced numerous counts stemming from the July 29, 2011 accident that claimed the lives of four-year old Alton “Brant” Barrett and his grandfather, 69-year-old James Barrett.
She will be eligible for parole after serving 30% of the sentence.
The wreck left a third person, Ronnie Boyd, paralyzed.
Lebanon police said Mayfield had a blood alcohol content of more than three times the legal limit at the time of the crash.
Officers also said she was traveling at least 60 miles-per-hour in a 30 mile-per-hour zone. …..FROM
