01/23/2015 — Court records show a woman involved in Thursday’s fatal crash on the Jefferson Street Bridge had pleaded guilty to driving under the influence earlier in the day.

Stephanie L. Ferguson, 29, was convicted of a misdemeanor DUI offense that occurred on Dec. 31, 2013, according to Davidson County court records. The criminal court clerk’s office said Ferguson’s court appearance was scheduled for Thursday morning.

Court records say Ferguson must serve 2 days in jail and 11 months and 29 days on probation. Ferguson’s driver’s license was revoked at the time of Thursday’s crash, according to a news release from Metro police.

Ferguson of Debow Street in Old Hickory is the suspected driver of the Toyota Tundra pickup truck that smashed into the back of the Cadillac sedan carrying the two crash victims, police said. Willie Nichols, 64, of Elkins Avenue, and Aaron Hall, 66, of 33rd Avenue North, were rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where they were pronounced dead, police said. ….MORE
