Grand Prairie man arrested for possible DWI in multi-vehicle fatality

A Grand Prairie man is being investigated for intoxication manslaughter and assault after a fatal multi-vehicle crash Monday night.
Anthony Almanza, 39, was arrested and held overnight. Police say he caused a series of accidents while driving his 2004 Dodge pickup by failing to stop at a traffic light in the 1300 block of South Belt Line Road, Irving police spokesperson John Argumaniz said.
Almanza rear-ended a 2001 Nissan, which, in turn, rear-ended a 2000 Kia at about 8:49 p.m.
Luis Andrade, 39, of Grand Prairie, was driving the Nissan. He died at a nearby hospital. The passenger of his vehicle, Imelda Corea, 23, was also taken to a local …MORE
