Death that results from the actions of drivers who are intoxicated are not an “accident” but an expected consequence of a poor decision to drive after drinking.

Ruthie Cook-Scheer, 56, of 1208 N. San Jacinto has been taken into custody this evening after an accident killed her husband, Frank Joseph Scheer, 66 of the same address.

The accident happened shortly after 7 p.m. when Ms. Scheer who was intoxicated walked out of Frank Sheer’s home  and got into their vehicle to leave. Her husband, Frank then came out to the vehicle and a discussion over a credit card took place. Sometime while this transpired his wife backed over him pinning him under the vehicle.
