SAN ANTONIO — It has happened again. Another San Antonio police officer was hit and injured by a suspected drunk driver.
According to police records, Officer Robert Torres was working off-duty at a construction site along I-10 near Boerne Stage Road Thursday night when a woman driving a Ford Explorer plowed into the back of his vehicle.
The driver, 41-year-old Mary Lacy, told officers she was reaching for her cell phone at the time, but investigators suspect there’s more to the story.
Lacy was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.  ….MORE
