Argyle mayoral candidate Matt Smith is hoping voters can overlook his current legal issues and still vote to elect him.
Smith, 36, is facing a charge of driving while intoxicatedfrom a January arrest in Flower Mound.
Denton attorney Rick Hagen said Smith’s case is pending and he and his client plan to dispute it.
“Matt has been a citizen of Argyle all his life,” Hagen said. “He is a man of honor, and this case should in no way impact the decision a voter
