DALLAS, TX—Police call what happened to Mary Jane Lane, tragic but avoidable.
“It is just one of those situations,” Dallas Police Sergeant, Warren Mitchell, said.
Investigators say Lane (50) was arrested last week and charged with DWI, following an accident on Northwest Highway in Dallas. They say the Balch Springs woman was driving when she passed out at a red light. When her husband got out of the car to help and came around to her side, she woke up and hit the accelerator.
