SHERMAN, TX — Friday morning’s fatal crash may have been the reality of drunk driving. The accident claimed one woman’s life and has sent two into critical condition at area hospitals.
Friday morning around 4am a wreck stopped traffic in the southbound lanes of Hwy 75 in Sherman. Authorities say the crash could have been prevented and this isn’t the first time the person who caused the accident has been in trouble for a DUI.
Two cars hit head on and an 18 wheeler swerved to miss the accident spilling its sheet metal load, but did not collide with any cars.
57 year old Amparo Ortiz of Mesquite, Texas died in the crash.
