In 2010, there were 344 DWI-related offenses reported by the Temple Police Department, up from 279 in 2009, said Sgt. Brad Hunt, public information officer.In both 2010 and 2009, there were four fatality crashes in Temple, Hunt said. The driver being under the influence was a factor in one crash in each of those years.The Texas Department of Transportation states that about every 20 minutes in Texas, someone is hurt or killed in a crash involving alcohol.    MORE
