The boys had so many laughs at an amusement center that their stomachs hurt afterward.
It was July 7, and it had been the most fun day of the summer.
The next day would be the opposite.
The deaths of bandmates Aaron Carrillo and Jonathan “Jon” Cervoni on July 8 when they were struck by an alleged drunken driver are part of a grim year for young people on the streets and highways of El Paso.
Two weeks earlier, brothers Andres and Luis Garcia, ages 19 and 18, were killed when a car driven by Luis Garcia was split in half when it crashed into a large metal pole on Interstate 10 near Downtown. Police said speed, and possibly alcohol, was a factor in the crash. ….MORE
