Houston Police Report:
Houston Police charged Vivian Vonell Vance with DWI in death of pedestrian
Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred at 15000 Galveston Road about 4:10 a.m. Â December 7, 2016.
The suspect, Vivian Vonell Vance (b/f, 48), is charged with driving while intoxicated in Harris County Criminal Court #7.
The identity of the male victim, 22, Â is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Roque and Houston Police Officer P. Pham reported:
Vance was driving a burgundy Nissan Quest southbound on Galveston Road when she struck the victim, who was walking in the roadway. Â Vance stopped at a Shell Gas station a short distance away and remained at the scene. Â The victim was then struck a second time by another vehicle that also remained at the scene. Â HFD paramedics responded and pronounced the victim deceased. Â Vance was determined to be impaired and was taken into custody. Â The driver of the second vehicle was questioned and released.
